2017年大學英語六級翻譯模擬題(一)：中國人學習英語

　　2.“英語學習貫穿中國學生，英語是中國學生必須學習的一門科目”有兩個主語“英語學習”和“英語”，故譯為兩個分句，用and連接。在后半句中，定語“中國學生必須學習的”較長，翻譯時可將它放在中心詞“科目 (subject)”后面作后置定語，譯為從句:(that)every Chinese studentmust learn，這樣表達更符合英文句式。

　　3.在“中國是世界上對英語學習最狂熱的國家之一，‘英語熱’在中國的持續(xù)也引發(fā)了激烈的爭論”中，兩句話存在內(nèi)在的轉折關系，可以用but連接，使之更連貫。“持續(xù)”在漢語原句里是名詞，翻譯的時候可以用形容詞，理解為“持續(xù)的‘英語熱’”，continuous English craze/fever。

　　4.最后一句中的“降低…”和“突出…”為并列結構，兩句都可采用被動語態(tài)，譯為be decreased和beemphasized。“讓更多的人關注自己的母語”若直譯為 letting more people be concerned about theirmother tongue，譯文會顯得生硬，故參考譯文增譯intend to表明意圖。

　　高速公路(express way)是一個國家走向現(xiàn)代化的橋梁，也是發(fā)展現(xiàn)代交通業(yè)的必要條件。近幾年，中國高速公路蓬勃發(fā)展，截止到2012年，中國高速公路的總里程(totalmileage)已經(jīng)達到9.6萬公里，位居世界第二。國家高速公路網(wǎng)建成后，通車里程將達10.8萬公里，屆時將覆蓋超過90%的擁有20萬以上城鎮(zhèn)人口的城市。高速公路為道路運輸創(chuàng)造了新的發(fā)展機遇和空間，也為沿線的經(jīng)濟騰飛增添了活力。現(xiàn)在，它已成為拉動內(nèi)需、促進經(jīng)濟快速發(fā)展的重要因素之一。

　　1.第一句話由兩個分句組成，謂語均為“是”，故可將“一個國家走向現(xiàn)代化的橋梁”和“發(fā)展現(xiàn)代交通業(yè)的必要條件”處理為并列結構，由not only...but also...連接，作“是”is的表語。

　　2.第二個句子較長，可將“中國高速公路蓬勃發(fā)展”處理為主干，將“中國高速公路的總里程…9.6萬公里”處理為with引導的介詞短語;“位居世界第二”則可采用現(xiàn)在分詞作狀語ranking...，放在句末，補充說明“總里程”的地位。

　　3.第三句的“…建成后”為時間狀語，可翻譯為after引導的時間狀語從句after the construction of...iscompleted。后兩個分句前者說國家高速公路網(wǎng)建成后的通車里程，后者說將覆蓋多少城市，意思不是那么緊密，可拆譯為兩個句子。“將覆蓋超過90%的擁有20萬以上城鎮(zhèn)人口的城市”中的定語“擁有20萬以上城鎮(zhèn)人口的”較長，可用介詞短語with an urban population of...表達。

　　4.倒數(shù)第二“高速公路為道路運輸…增添了活力”包含兩個謂語動詞“創(chuàng)造了”和“增添了”，因此可譯為兩個并列謂語create...and add...,但這樣處理稍顯平淡，不如將“也為…增添了活力”處理為表伴隨的現(xiàn)在分詞短語adding vitality to...來得緊湊和有邏輯性。

　　1.第二句有兩個分句組成，仔細分析，兩個分句關系緊密，都是講“阿里巴巴公司”，依照英文的表達習慣可將第一個分句處理為過去分詞短語Founded by Jack Ma in 1999，置于句首。后一個分句“目的是…”處理為主句，增譯主語theAlibaba Corporation，同時將“目的是”轉譯為動詞短語aimed at。

　　2.在第四句“阿里巴巴希望…難題”中，“通過網(wǎng)上交易”可使用介詞短語through online transaction表達，定語“采購、銷售、管理和融資的”較長，處理為后置定語，用介詞短語of purchase...表達，置于problems后。

　　3.倒數(shù)第二句的主干結構是“它被選為全球最佳的電子商務網(wǎng)站之一”，可以套用It was selected as one ofthe world's best...句型來表達。

　　4.最后一句中，主語部分一共有五個名詞詞組，如果逐字對譯，則主語部分太長，譯出來的句子會顯得頭重腳輕，仔細觀察可發(fā)現(xiàn)，主語部分其實是“阿里巴巴成為互聯(lián)網(wǎng)時代的一個奇跡”的原因，故不妨將其處理為 dueto引導的原因狀語，將“阿里巴巴成為互聯(lián)網(wǎng)時代的一個奇跡”處理為主句。
