2.第2句“這些企業(yè)往往具有......，擁有......，取得......”有3個動詞，仔細分析可發(fā)現，第1個動詞短語表狀態(tài)，第2個為方式，第3個為結果，故翻譯時將第3個分句處理成主干，第1個為伴隨狀語，第2個為方式狀語，這樣既可以使句子各成分之間的邏輯關系更清晰，也更符合英文的表達習慣。
3.倒數第2句“同仁堂創(chuàng)建于1669年，其藥品......”可用并列結構譯出：Tongrentang was founded in 1669, and its medical products...。“以優(yōu)良的傳統(tǒng)工藝和顯著的療效”用介詞短語for excellent traditional manufacturing techniques and good effects 來表達。
4.在最后一句中，將“是中國著名的飯店”處理成主干：Quanjude is a famous restaurant in China。將“以北京烤鴨聞名的全聚德創(chuàng)建于1864年”處理成兩個并列的狀語，“創(chuàng)建于1864年的”和“以北京烤鴨聞名的”， 按照時間邏輯關系，用分詞短語譯出 Founded in 1864 and well-known for its Beijing roast ducks。

1.第2句中的“位于亞洲東部、太平洋西岸，面積960萬平方公里”可譯成并列結構，但譯文會略顯平淡，故將“位于亞洲東部、太平洋西岸”用過去分詞短語located in...譯出，作地點狀語，使譯文層次分明、結構豐富。
2.第3句中的“人口最多”，英語的習慣搭配不是用the most population而是the largest population。“中國人口約13億，是世界上人口最多的國家”中有2個“人口”，英譯時，為了避免重復，可進行省譯，將“是世界上人口最多的國家”處理為前面population的同位語：the largest in the world，對population進行補充說明。
3.第4句中的“中國歷史悠久……”不宜直譯為the history of China is long，而應轉換為“中國擁有‘悠久的歷史’(China boasts a long history)”。此處的“擁有”用boast來表達，表達“自豪地擁有”之義。
4.最后—句中的“為世人矚目”表結果，故將其處理成狀語，用現在分詞短語來表達，可有多種譯法，如attracting the attention from the world, holding the world’s attention, fixing the world's attention 等。
