　　景泰藍(Cloisonne)是一種古老的裝飾金屬物品的工藝。采用這項工藝生產出的物品也可以稱為景泰藍。裝飾效果是這樣形成的：首先要通過焊接(solder)或粘貼工藝用銀線或金線給金屬物件勾邊，以將其分隔為幾個小塊。這些金銀線在成品上依然能看到，它們將瓷釉或鑲嵌物(enamel or inlays)的不同部分分隔開來，通常這些瓷釉或鑲嵌物會有多種顏色。這項工藝至今在中國仍然很常見。

　　據說如果地球上真有人間仙境，九寨溝(Jiuzhaigou Valley)—定是其中之一。它有夢境般的風景：藍色的湖泊、瀑布、翠綠的森林、白雪皚皚的山脈，還有藏族和羌族人民(theTibetan and Qiang peoples)的民間習俗。九寨溝不僅僅有壯觀的景色，還是九個藏族村寨的居住地，還有超過220種鳥類以及許多瀕臨滅絕的動植物物種。它在1992年被聯合國教科文組織宣布為世界文化遺產。九寨溝一年四季的美景使它成為中國最著名的景點之一。

　　1.據說如果地球上真有人間仙境，九寨溝一定是其中之一:該句前半句的“如果…”可判斷出它表示與現在的事實相反，所以要用現在時的虛擬語氣，即should+do的形式。其中“人間仙境”可譯為wonderlands on the earth。

　　2.九寨溝不僅僅有壯觀的景色，還是九個藏族村寨的居住地，還有超過220種鳥類以及許多瀕臨滅絕的動植物物種：其中“不僅僅有”可譯為more than,是“超過，多于”的意思。“…的居住地”可以理解為“是…的故鄉”，故可用be home to…表示，這是英語中常見的表達方式，如：China is home to the panda.(中國是熊貓的故鄉。)

　　3.九寨溝一年四季的美景使它成為中國最著名的景點之一:“一年四季的美景”可以翻譯為所有格的形式，但譯為it provides spectacular scenery throughout four seasons of the year,會使譯文增色不少。后半句部分因前半句出現了謂語動詞provide,所以可用making it…來引導后半句，作句子的伴隨狀語。

　　淸華大學(Tsinghua University)始建于1911年，時名為“清華學堂”，后曾數次更名：從成立后一年的“清華學校”到1925年大學部成立三年后的“國立清華大學”。淸華大學以自強不息、厚德載物(Self-Discipline and Social Commitment)為校訓，致力于優異的學業成績，為中國社會和全球發展謀福祉。一直以來，清華大學被國內外多數大學排行榜視為中國大陸頂尖的髙等學府之一。

　　2.清華大學以自強不息、厚德v物為校訓，致力于優異的學業成績，為中國社會和全球發展謀福祉:“以...為校訓”可用with its motto of...表示。“清華大學致力于..."可譯為describes itself as being dedicatedto...,這樣更符合英語習慣。能表達“致力于”的詞組還有：devote oneself to、apply oneself to,commitoneself to。

　　3.—直以來，清華大學被國內外多數大學排行榜視為中國大陸頂尖的高等學府之一：“國內外”可譯為domestic and international。“在國內外"可譯為at home andabroad in the domestic andoverseas。“排行榜”翻譯為ranking。“頂尖的”翻譯為top。“高等學府”翻譯為higher learninginstitutions。
