3.倒數(shù)第2句中的“制作年畫的材料也不斷增多”可用存現(xiàn)句型there be來表達,譯為there are more andmore new materials for New Year Pictures。
仍充滿生機,深受人們喜愛”可用并列結(jié)構(gòu)譯出... is still full of vigor today and (is)deeply loved by people。
New Year Picture is a unique type of painting in China. The custom of pasting New Year fuctures came from the tradition of pasting Door Gods on the external doors of houses. The traditional New Year Pictures are well-known for their elaborate block print and bright colors. Their subjects are mainly flowers and birds, lovely babies, myths and legends, and historical stories, etc, conveying people's wishes for a good harvest and a happy life. With the improvement of printing technologies, there are more and more new materials for New Year Pictures. This traditioial artistic form is still full of vigor today and deeply loved by people.
Firing/Setting off fireworks is a part of...,則稍顯生硬,此處譯作Fireworks are a part of... 定語“中國慶祝新年”可用短語Chinese New Year celebration 來表達,也可譯為 celebrating Chinese New Year。
可翻譯成并列結(jié)構(gòu)the development of firework China... and its invention can date back to...,但這樣處理譯文顯得冗長。 處理為狀語,用現(xiàn)在分詞短語dating back to more than 2,000 years ago來表達。
可譯為a legend/story tells that a cook..,也可譯為a legend tells of a cook who...。時間狀語“在烹任時”可用從句when he was cooking來表達,亦可筒譯作when cooking 由于“傳說有個廚師…”
