七、常用短語的搭配
　　除了動詞詞組之外，另一類比較?？嫉脑~組就是名詞慣用詞組的搭配。例題如下：

　　on the threshold of …意思是即將要干什么的意思，在就要開始……的時候。比如說 This country is on the threshold of prosperity ．這個國家即將步入繁榮。 on the edge of 意思是瀕于……、在……的邊緣。 porch 是陽臺、走道的意思。 course 是過程、進程的意思，常用介詞搭配詞組 in the course of 表示在……的過程中、在……期間。根據句意，答案應是 A 。
　　大多數慣用短語都在大學英語教程中出現過，在以后的英語學習中又時常反復使用，稍加復習即可。另外需要花功夫復習的是大學英語教程一至四冊出現的詞組，需要把書后面的單詞表仔細復習一遍?？荚囍谐霈F的詞組大多是已經學習過的，對于那些生僻或者不常見的詞組不必要花費時間和精力去復習。
