　　A.基數詞的構成

　　①1-12的基數詞是：one 1，two 2，three 3, four 4，five 5,six 6, seven 7, eight 8,nine 9,ten 10,eleven 11,twelve 12。

　　②13-19的基數詞：分別在3-9的基數詞后加詞綴-teen，但要注意幾個特殊變化的基數詞：13-thirteen，15-fifteen， 18-eighteen。

　　③20-90的逢十的基數詞：分別在2-9的基數詞后加-ty構成，即：20-twenty，30-thirty，40-forty，50-fifty，60-sixty，70-seventy，80-eighty，90-ninety。(注意20，30，40，50，80拼寫的特殊變化。)

　　④21-29的基數詞：由十位數20的單詞形式twenty加個位數1-9構成。中間用連字符。即：21-twenty-one，22-twenty-two，23-twenty-three，24-twenty-four，25-twenty-five，26-twenty-six，27-twenty-seven，28-twenty-eight，29-twenty-nine。

　　⑤百位數是由1-9加hundred構成。200-two hundred。有百位數、十位數和個位數的三位數，百位數和十位數之間用and連接。127-one hundred and twenty-seven。

　　⑥千位數是由1-9加thousand構成，后面的百位數、十位數和個位數與前面的構成方法一樣。

　　3000-three thousand。1,149-one thousand one hundred and forty-nine。

　　英語沒有“萬”這個單位。10,000-ten thousand。十萬用one hundred thousand，但有百萬這個單位million。

　　B.基數詞應用的幾點注意事項：

　　①基數詞可以用來表示年級、班級、房間號碼、電話號碼和編號。并且單詞開頭字母要大寫。

　　I am in Class Five, Grade Nine. 我在九年級五班。

　　Tomorrow we are going to learn Lesson Five. 明天我們將要學習第五課。

　　②基數詞作為數字在句子中作主語，謂語動詞用第三人稱單數形式。

　　In the western countries, people think thirteen is unlucky number.

　　在西方國家，人們認為13是一個不吉利的數字。

　　但是代表可數名詞的復數形式時要用復數，

　　Two of them are from America. 他們中有兩人是從美國來的。(Two = Two people)

　　③基數詞的單位hundred，thousand，million和billion等用來表示具體數目，前面有具體的基數詞時，這些詞的后面不加-s。

　　There are ten hundred students in our school. 我們學校有1000名學生。

　　但是當hundred，thousand，million和billion等用來表示不具體的數目時用“hundreds/ thousands/millions/ billions of +名詞”來表示，這些詞的前面也不用具體的基數詞。

　　We have already planted thousands of trees on the farm.

　　我們在農場里已經種植了成千上萬棵樹。

　　2.序數詞：

　　A.序數詞的構成

　　①1-19的序數詞除了第一(first)，第二(second)和第三(third)之外，其他的序數詞是由基數詞加后綴-th構成的。第四-fourth，第六-sixth，第七-seventh等。注意幾個序數詞的特殊變化：fifth 第五，eighth 第八，ninth 第九，twelfth 第十二。

　　②逢十的序數詞的構成方法是：先將“幾十”的基數詞的詞尾-ty變為-ti再加eth。

　　第20-twentieth，第30-thirtieth，第40-fortieth。

　　③兩位數的序數詞如果包含1-9的個位數，十位數用基數詞，個位數用序數詞。

　　第21-twenty-first，第34-thirty-fourth。

　　④百、千、萬的序數詞有hundred-hundredth，thousand-thousandth。

　　B.序數詞的用法

　　①序數詞在句子中主要作定語，有時也可以用作主語、賓語和表語。

　　The sixth man went forward to feel the elephant. 第六個人走上前去摸象。

　　I think the first is better than the second. 我認為第一個比第二個好。

　　My sister is the fourth in this exam. 我妹妹這次考試是第四名。

　　②定冠詞the和序數詞連用表示順序。不定冠詞a/an和序數詞連用表示“又一、再一”的意思。

　　You are the second and I am the fourth. 你第二，我第四。(表示順序)

　　Can you do it a third time? 你能再做一次嗎?(已經做過兩次了)

　　3.分數表示法

　　分數是以基數詞代表分子，序數詞代表分母，除了分子是“1”的情況外，分母的序數詞都要用復數。

　　a half 1/2　 one third 1/3　 two thirds 2/3　 a (one) quarter 或one fourth 1/4

　　分數在句子中作主語的時候，謂語動詞的單、復數形式由of后面的名詞來決定。如果of后面的名詞是可數名詞的復數形式，謂語動詞用復數形式;如果of后面的名詞是不可數名詞，謂語動詞用第三人稱單數形式。

　　It is said that two thirds of information on the Internet is not true.

　　據說互聯網上三分之二的信息是不真實的。

　　Two fifths of the students in my class are from the village.

　　我們班五分之二的學生來自那個村子。

　　4.年、月、日、時的表示法

　　①年代

　　890 eight hundred and ninety　　　1984　 nineteen eighty-four

　　1990’s (1990s)　nineteen nineties　 二十世紀九十年代

　　② 日期 September 1, 2009， 讀作：September the first, two thousand and nine

　　中考英語數詞語法易錯點

　　1.基數詞和序數詞用法混淆。

　　① My sister is ninth years old and she had a party for her nine birthday last night.

　　解析：本句子是考查基數詞和序數詞的不同用法，從句子的意思理解第一個劃線部分表示年齡，應該用基數詞;第二個畫線部分用序數詞ninth表示“昨天她過第九個生日”。所以把第一個畫線部分改為nine，第二個畫線部分改為ninth。

　　2.基數詞和名詞構成合成詞時誤用復數。

　　My teacher is a twenty –five-years-old girl.

　　解析：本句子是考查：基數詞+單數名詞+形容詞構成的合成形容詞的用法。中間的名詞用單數形式，所以把twenty –five-years-old改為twenty-five-year-old。

　　3.基數詞表示編號時大小寫誤用。

　　—What class are you in? —I am in class five.

　　解析：基數詞可以用來表示年級、班級和房間號碼等編號，但基數詞和名詞第一個字母要大寫。所以把class five改為Class Five。

　　4.hundred\thousand一類詞單復數用法混淆。

　　① There are about hundred of children injured during this earthquake.
